Background

Maddalen studied the theoretical and historical side of film, culture and arts at Wilfred Laurier University graduating with a double major Honours in Film and Cultural studies. (BOOM)

She started work in the fashion industry, in-house at Canada’s number one fast fashion brand, Joe Fresh. Then powerhouse boutique lifestyle agency Faulhaber Communications for 3.5 years.

Maddalen’s main passion for design was drawn out of her from working with IDS, Shauna Levy and the Design Exchange, on numerous notable exhibitions such as Stefan Sagmeister’s ‘The Happy Show’, Christian Louboutin’s ‘20 Year Retrospective’ and Pharrell William’s Debut Exhibition ‘This Is Not A Toy’. 

Maddalen lived and breathed the Toronto music and art scene then moved to Guadalajara, Mexico for a year. Fulfilling her love of traveling…and mezcal.

Shortly after starting her own brand 3 years ago, she landed the local Toronto launch for Ufficio and the national launch for Tokyo Smoke, garnering a business article for them in almost every newspaper across the nation.

Maddalen has worked closely with Jeanne Beker, Frank Toskan, Marcel Wanders, Matty Matheson, Tasya Teles & more.

She also runs PR & Communications for Room+Wild boutique travel agency.
